About Bridge Education

Our mission is to motivate and inspire all  school staff to achieve outstanding results for children through engaged learning and inspirational leadership.

We do this by offering a variety of bespoke packages to fit your time and budget, from one hour workshops for your weekly staff meetings, to half and full day staff training sessions. We also offer termly coaching programmes, where our specialised staff can train individual (or even full departments of ) teachers, in order to improve their delivery, classroom management, assessment etc. We will work with your staff to ensure your school becomes an outstanding learning environment.

Our Advisors

John Butlin:

John is the founder of Bridge Education. He has over 25 years of teaching experience in the classroom, and spent the last 11 years before starting Bridge as the Head of Science and Mathematics in secondary education in Dorset. U.K.

Whilst working at his previous school he was involved in five Ofsted inspections and saw the school progress from good (in 2003) to Outstanding in 2008 (where the school has remained ever since). As Head of department in an Outstanding school, John trained Maths and science teachers in the classroom in conjunction with the University of Winchester’s teacher training program and the hands on “Sure Start”, programme.

John was accredited as an official Cambridge International Education trainer in 2017 working for Cambridge University as an overseas trainer. Cambridge is possibly the most prestigious education establishment in the world and his experience as both an Outstanding teacher and trainer means he understands the pressures and obligations which teachers have to deal with every day but he also has a vast arsenal of tips, tricks and methods which have been proven to work in the classroom.

Since 2015 John has been working in Madagascar as an educational consultant to the English speaking schools of the Indian Ocean and is available to offer his expertise throughout the whole region.

Taj Penny:

Taj has been training teachers as part of Southampton University’s prestige teacher training scheme and recently hosted 16 teachers from Malaysia. Previous to her consultancy work she worked as a science teacher in a number of eminent schools in Dorset and Hampshire. She has  recently completed her Masters in Education and has a vast experience of teaching right across the age and ability range.
